My Wonderful Indonesia (Series #23)

In the final presentation for the academic year, Ridha Anshari talked about Indonesia.

There was a change of room at the last minute, followed by a little confusion.

All in all, 9 people attended this presentation, including 2 international students.

I was not able to attend this session due to other commitments, but I imagine Ridha must have presented a very educational as well as an entertaining presentation to the audience.

Food Culture Of Each Region Of Japan (Series #22)

Hotaru Ikehira, a freshman at the Faculty of Law, gave a presentation on the food culture of Japan. 

She separated the presentation into different regions of Japan...

“MAINZ am Rhein” (Series #21)

Today, we had a presentation from WOEBER Jonas (Johnny), an exchange student from Germany. 

He talked about the city of Mainz, an old city situated be the River Rhein.
 

He highlighted the city is famous for being the place where the printing press was invented. 

The city is also well known for the Johannes Gutenberg University and the Mainz Cathedral.

According to Johnny, the people of Mainz like to enjoy going to clubs and parties.

There were 16 people in the audience, of which 7 were international students.

The Symbols of Kojima, Okayama (Series #20)

Hayato Morimoto, a freshman from the Agriculture Faculty, made a presentation on his hometown, Kojima.

He did a very commendable job presenting in English, focusing on the main symbols of Kojima such as the marine products and the manufacture of jeans.

There were 14 people in the audience, with international students making up half of it. Wan Bunna was the moderator.

Mad about Malaysia (Series #19)

Marcus Khoo, an international student from Malaysia who is enrolled at Kagawa University under the Teacher Training Program, gave a presentation on Malaysia.

Marcus focused on the food of Malaysia and introduced five popular dishes.

There were 19 people in the audience including 8 international students.

Local culinary specialties in Kagawa (Series #18)

Ai Matsumoto, a sophomore at the Faculty of Economics, introduced three dishes that are unique to the Kagawa area. 

The dishes are Mamba no kenchan, Shipoku udon, and ozoni. 

Mamba no kenchan is a vegetable dish made from a mustard green that is widely grown in this locality. 

Shipoku udon is a winter season noodle dish that consists of many varieties of vegetables and chicken. 

And ozoni is a specialty that is normally eaten during the new year season. 

There were 17 people in the audience, including 8 international students.
